Step 2
Day One: Arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be greeted by our staff. Then, be transferred to Moshi or Arusha if the trekking is for Mt. Meru, where you will receive a friendly briefing on your trekking. This is also the ideal time to pick up any gear you may not have been able to bring from home. Additionally, your guide will provide valuable tips for acclimatizing to the altitude, allowing you to fully enjoy the adventure that lies ahead.
Step 3
The Trek Begins
You will need to complete mandatory registration and clearance at the entry gate, and once you have finalized the activity, you can begin your mountain trekking adventure. Depending on the route chosen, the trekking trail starts amidst lush greenery and stunning vistas, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some wildlife along the way. Enjoy your trek!
Kilimanjaro Trekking Important Briefing:
The Rongai Route presents a distinctive and less used option to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, allowing trekkers to experience a diverse range of stunning landscapes, from lush rainforests to barren alpine deserts, all while enjoying captivating views of Kibo and the expansive Kenyan plains. The lower slopes are abundant with wildlife, showcasing colobus monkeys and a variety of bird species, while the quieter trail ensures a peaceful and serene trekking adventure due to the reduced number of trekkers. With its gradual ascent profile, the Rongai Route facilitates proper acclimatization, enhancing the likelihood of reaching the summit. Starting from the northern region near the Kenyan border, this route offers a more secluded and untamed wilderness experience. For those planning to ascend Kilimanjaro, the Rongai Route promises a tranquil and fulfilling adventure.
